DROPOUT RELEASES TRAILER FOR SEASON 2 OF CROWD WORK COMPETITION SERIES, CROWD CONTROL

Comedy streaming service Dropout today announced season two of the standup comedy competition series, Crowd Control. Hosted by Jacquis Neal and narrated by Chioke I'Anson, each episode features three comedians competing in a battle of crowd work, where every set is improvised and no prewritten material is allowed. Comedians must build their sets using prompts they receive and interactions with the audience, who then vote to determine the winner. The new season will premiere August 3, with episodes dropping every other Monday.

Celine Kuklowsky: Bed Boy (WIP)

From the very start, Celine Kuklowsky’s Bed Boy clearly demonstrates its potential. The show  has a solid base, but it perhaps suffers with issues that admittedly will resolve themselves with fluency and energy. One overarching theme of the hour is the fact that throughout their comedy, we can see the direction which Kuklowsky wants to go, how far they appear to be itching to take a joke, and how much they rein themselves in just as they are getting started.

Pepper Spray & Protest

Singing in a large group and hearing other people sing is famously a great time always, and one of the great things about protests is that it gives people the opportunity to participate in something that is usually reserved for theatre kids and religion. Now we have our Defying Gravitys and Hadestowns and Hamiltons and RENTs of course, but these songs have been thoroughly claimed by theatre kids.
